What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy helps people engage in the activities that fill their daily lives. For adults, that might mean dressing, cooking, working, enjoying hobbies, or self-care. For children, their “occupation” is to grow, learn, and play.
Research shows that play is one of the most powerful ways children learn—it supports development, provides essential sensory input, and helps them regulate their bodies and emotions. Through play, children build the skills they need to succeed in school, relationships, and everyday life.
At its heart, occupational therapy is about helping people thrive in the activities that matter most to them. We believe humans are meant to do, not just talk about doing.
